Where did Christmas go?? As I look back on these pictures I can’t help but wish I could go back. B and I enjoyed a full week at home with the kids. No work just play. A few days we did not get out of our PJ’s until well after lunch time and I might have even forgot to brush my teeth. Oops.
B and I decided early on that the kids would get one gift from Santa and then a stocking with little goodies. We want our kids to appreciate the true meaning of Christmas and learning the joy in helping our neighbors and friends in need. We are blessed to have a roof over our head, food on the table, heat to keep us warm and most of all love. Plus, let’s be honest…with grandparents around, they get way too much.
This year Santa brought Caleb’s 4-wheeler (which was given to us) from Georgia to North Carolina. Since they have cut the fields around our house, he has plenty of space to ride. Dizzy got a pair of shoes! She mostly loved the wrapping paper this year!
She stayed at my feet most of the morning until she figured out what was going on.

Hey Momma.
See…Grandparents don’t stick with the one present rule.
We have a few places to go on Christmas day. We start at B’s parents house. PawPaw (B’s Dad) has been cooking for neighbors on Sam Black Road for years. It’s tradition. It is the one day of the year that Mimi stays out of the kitchen, sort of.
Look who flew in!! Aunt Header! Oh and Mikey too!
Every country boy needs a pair of Muck boots. Thanks Kimmie!
Our day was busy but fun! I love spending time with family and even having new little ones joining in on our Christmas Day traditions! Cameron and Sydney are the cute ones above with my niece Avery and nephew Sutton.
Thanks for letting me share our day!
